Black Dynamite (2009)

Black Dynamite (2009) is an American blaxploitation action comedy film starring Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, and Salli Richardson. It is directed by Scott Sanders and co-written by Michael Jai White, Scott Sanders and Byron Minns, who also co-stars in the film.

Black Dynamite is the greatest African-American action star of the 1970s. The plot of Black Dynamite (2009) centers around former CIA agent Black Dynamite (Michael Jai White), who must avenge his brother’s death while cleaning the streets of a new drug that is ravaging the community.

Black Dynamite (2009) was funded and had a trailer before the script was even written and was shot in only 20 days in Super 16 format. The film was released in the United States on October 16, 2009, for only two weeks (with an “official” premiere at the Toronto After Dark film festival) and was well received by critics.

It was released on home video on February 16, 2010.

After “The Man” kills his brother and poisons the neighborhood with tainted liquor, a kung fu fighter (Michael Jai White) wages a war that takes him all the way to Nixon’s White House.
