There is a new action television series The Player on NBC, starring martial artist and action star Wesley Snipes and Philip Winchester. It premiered on September 24, 2015. The story revolves around a former intelligence officer who works as a security expert in Las Vegas and was created by John Rogers and John Fox.
The thriller is set in Las Vegas and the executive producers of The Blacklist television series are also producing The Player on NBC. The series co-stars Wesley Snipes as the pit boss and Charity Wakefield, (The Raven, Mockingbird Lane) as the dealer for a high-stakes game, where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on the ability of former military operative turned security expert, Philip Winchester (Strike Back, Fringe), to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from committed. Can Winchester take them down from the inside and get revenge for the death of his wife, or is it true what they say: The house always wins.
