Belly of the Beast (2003) is an American action film directed by Hong Kong film director Siu-Tung Ching, who is also the stunt coordinator. This film was his American directorial debut. Steven Seagal stars in and produced the film. Also starring in the film are Byron Mann and Monica Lo. Martial artist, actor and stunt performer, Don Ferguson is also in the film.

In Belly of the Beast (2003), Jake Hopper (Steven Seagal), is a former CIA agent who must find his kidnapped daughter and this leads him on a trail of political intrigue, corruption, danger and betrayal.

Belly of the Beast (2003) is set and was filmed in Bangkok, Thailand. The entire movie was made in just 42 days, filming from from February 3, 2003 to March 17, 2003.

The film was released on direct-to-DVD in the United States on December 30, 2003 and Belly of the Beast (2003) recouped its budget from the U.S. home video market alone.

The production designer for the film, Trevor Murray, died in Bangkok of natural causes during the last few days of filming so the film ends with words saying “In Loving Memory of our friend Trevor Murray.”
